ARTY BOLLARD ZONES Bollard styles vary throughout the Town from plain to hooped, from fat to thin. Here are a few ideas....
TOP: A geographical locator or a themed route. Perhaps a story number or simply a picture TOP BAND: Possibly a sponsor, a group or an adoptee's name TOP ZONE: A story, a picture, decoration? UPPER BAND: Possible name, a quotation, a colour? MID ZONE: The main design area - Let Imagination Rule LOWER BAND: Support to main design? BASE ZONE: Suitably robust design/colour to deal with that awkward junction with the ground - and with weeds, dogs and bad bad drivers! |
The Scope for Ideas The extent for designs are endless. They may include graphics, illustration, painting. quotations, statements.... There are many different styles, shapes and sizes around the Town in many locations. Some bollards have different 'Zones' which can be excitingly incorporated into designs which are far better than the old rusty patch or the boring black. Examples of possible uses are: Competitions Community Decoration Seasonal Themes Business Promotion Group Adoption Event Promotion Educational Themes Special Events Tourism ... even street graffiti Uses are almost without limit - you get the idea?
